Ben was born on the 5th October 1999 but wasn't diagnosed with Cri Du Chat until he was 13 months, so he was quite old.
His birth was fine and he didnt have any breathing problems or anything.
He had problems feeding and thats when they began, but it did take them over a year, to diagnose.
Ben will be two on the 5th October 2001 and although he can't yet sit up or crawl he is such a lovely little boy.
He is constantly laughing and wants to play all day but he does suffer with his chest.
He is a special little boy with a special genetic condition, a credit to our family. He can only get stronger from here.
We hope to hear from other families with young children who have Cri Du Chat.
